As the Minister of Health, Seniors and Active Living, I am proud to congratulate those Manitobans who have received a Manitoba Council on Aging Recognition Award.
These awards bring attention to the often unseen acts of service in our province and are a small token of Manitoba’s appreciation for seniors, as well as recognize seniors’ dedication, leadership, commitment and contribution to their communities. The MCA awards are a way to say thank you and to let our seniors know that we are proud they are a part of a healthy, helping community.
Manitoba seniors drive change in communities across our province, they are leaders, supporters and organizers who volunteer their time to make life a little better for every Manitoban. The recipients demonstrated outstanding qualities through volunteer service, advocacy, community influence and successful efforts in raising the profile of seniors.
Congratulations to all of you and thank you for everything you do for our communities and families.
