View From the Legislature

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe August long weekend in beautiful South East Manitoba. This weekend, many Manitobans remember the courage shown by Terry Fox in his quest to increase awareness of Cancer and subsequently raise funds to find a cure. One of his quotes that resonates with me is “that it took cancer to realize that being self-centered is not the way to live, but rather that the answer is to try and help others”.

Terry Fox is a true Canadian hero who deserves to always be remembered and always will be. Please enjoy your week safely and take a moment to remember this remarkable Canadian.
