Our provincial government recently announced Budget 2022: Recover Together, which focuses on moving Manitobans onto a solid path towards recovery by strengthening, investing, and building a better future.

February was I Love to Read Month, a month-long initiative that promotes the importance of reading and literacy to students. I participated in the festivities by visiting different schools in Dawson Trail, both virtually and in-person, and reading to the students.

Recently, exciting announcements were made with Premier Heather Stefanson’s first cabinet shuffle and those Minister’s new legislative assistants.

November 22nd saw the beginning of a new legislative session with Premier Stefanson unveiling her vision for the future of our province in a Speech from the Throne.

As students return to the classroom, we are making the necessary investments to support mental health challenges brought on by the pandemic.

Premier Brian Pallister recently announced his planned departure from public life, as he will not be seeking re-election. I respect his personal decision and wish him and his family all the best in their future endeavours.

I was pleased to recently tour new Legacy Children’s Centre with Families Minister Rochelle Squires.

I am pleased to highlight that we recently moved forward with the second milestone of the ‘4-3-2 One Great Summer’ reopening path early.

That’s a wrap on another Manitoba Legislative Session! Our government was proud to bring forward a robust legislative agenda focused on protecting Manitobans and advancing Manitoba.

It’s certainly been a busy spring session in the Manitoba Legislature. The NDP recently decided to delay the passage of Bill 71, The Education Property Tax Reduction Act, which would allow Manitobans to receive their education property tax rebate cheques and provide tax relief.
