Finance Manager

Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Manager is responsible for providing leadership to the finance function of Niverville Credit Union. Some of the key functions of the position are as follows:

1. Lead the finance department of the credit union
2. Provide technical direction on all areas of financial accounting, financial analysis and financial management including asset/liability management
3. Lead the preparation of the annual corporate budget and the financial forecasts for the credit union.
4. Prepare financial statements and reports for monthly and quarterly financial statements, audited financial statements and regulatory reports.
5. Oversee accounts payable
6. Prepare ad hoc financial analysis to assist in areas such as investment decisions.
7. Gain an in-depth understanding of the legislative and regulatory requirements of the credit union.
8. Participate in the design, maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate must possess a Canadian professional accounting designation and have demonstrated leadership abilities in a prior work or volunteer role. Prior credit union experience would be considered an asset, but not essential. Excellent interpersonal skills, time management, and organizational skills are also a requirement of this position.
