Yard Supervisor

We are currently looking for an experience Yard Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations in the yard and outdoor facility, ensuring merchandise and the yard are stocked and organized. This is a full time position including shifts on Saturdays, on a rotating basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily yard operations, including monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate the scheduling of yard activities, including ensuring proper handling and storage of materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement processes for inventory accuracy and efficiency.
• Operate yard equipment (i.e. forklift, skid steer loader, pallet jack) safely and efficiently.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to improve workflows, reduce waste, and uphold team morale.
• Conduct regular inspections of yard facilities and equipment to maintain safety and functionality.
• Maintain a neat, clean, organized and well-stocked yard.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in lumber handling, storage, and transportation
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and operate forklifts (certification preferred)
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Proven track record of safety compliance and maintaining a clean yard
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail, strong time management and organizational skills.
• Provide professional and courteous assistance to customers and work well in a team environment.
