Paint Department Sales Associate

(Full Time Hours Guaranteed)

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Paint Department Sales Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting customers with paint selection, color matching, product recommendations, and ensuring the paint department is well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, provides professional customer service, has an eye for color and detail, and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. You will participate in the merchandising of product, mix paint, stock shelves, and actively participate as a member of the paint department team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service
• Assist customers with selecting paint, stains, and related supplies
• Mix and tint paint to customer specifications
• Provide guidance on surface preparation, application techniques, and product usage
• Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and proper signage
• Stock shelves and monitor inventory levels
• Operate POS system and handle transactions as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous sales experience, knowledge of paint materials and the construction industry are definite assets but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail, strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to provide professional and courteous assistance to customers and work well in a team environment.
• Frequent and sometimes heavy lifting is required
