Line Cook
It all started in 1971 when the Simeonidis' Family opened a little take out pizzeria in Thompson Manitoba while working at the Inco Nickel mines. The Simeonidis dedication to great tasting food and great value made the little pizzeria a success. Within a year, it was the busiest pizzeria in Thompson. Through out the years the family expanded into Winnipeg and other rural Manitoba communities making Santa Lucia Pizza/restaurant a house hold name. They achieved this by sticking to their family’s tradition of making fresh dough, bread, sauces, salad dressings, and the traditional Greek foods.
Santa Lucia Pizza in Steinbach is looking for a reliable and experienced Line Cook to join our team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen, take pride in preparing quality food, and thrive as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you.
Please note: This position does not qualify for the RCIP program.
Responsibilities
- As a Line Cook, you will:
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes.
- Prepare salads, pasta dishes, and grilled menu items.
- Ensure food is prepared and presented to our quality standards.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Previous experience completing daily food prep (required).
- At least 1 year of line cooking experience in a busy kitchen (required).
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
