Parks Fleet Maintenance

The City of Steinbach has a full-time fleet maintenance opening in the Parks & Recreation Department.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of City equipment, including groundskeeping and landscaping equipment, vehicles, and equipment used by other departments.
• Assist other City departments with equipment maintenance and related duties as required.
• Maintain organized work areas and ensure the overall cleanliness, safety, and proper condition of facilities, both interior and exterior.

Qualifications:

• Mechanically inclined
• Mechanical certification is an asset
• Repair and maintenance experience with small engines and equipment repairs
• Ability to solve problems
• Attention to detail
• Willing to work some weekend shifts
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with air brake endorsement

The City offers a 40-hour workweek with an excellent and comprehensive benefits package. Conditions of employment include an acceptable Criminal Record Check and Driver’s Abstract.
