Arena Maintenance

The City of Steinbach has a full-time vacancy in the Parks & Recreation Department.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance duties at the arena (including ice making, operation of ice resurfacer & monitoring of refrigeration plant)
• Janitorial duties

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Ability to effectively communicate with the public
• Mechanically inclined
• Possess or the ability to obtain a Refrigeration Class Power Engineer’s License
• Must be able to work weekend and evening shifts

The City offers a 40-hour workweek and benefits package, including a defined benefit pension plan. Conditions of employment include an acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check and Drivers Abstract.
