Maintenance / Operator I

The City of Steinbach has an opening for a full-time Maintenance / Operator I position in the Public Works Department.

The successful applicant will operate a variety of equipment, such as sidewalk plow, asphalt roller etc., used in road and drainage maintenance and repair activity, as well as perform a variety of labourer activities.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Mechanically inclined
• Required to work some weekends and evenings in cases of emergencies

Wage:

• Starting at $24.10 per hour

The City offers a 40-hour work week with an excellent and comprehensive benefits package. A criminal record check and drivers abstract will be required as a condition of employment.
