Solid Waste Operator / Maintenance

The City of Steinbach has an opening for a full-time Operator / Maintenance in the Solid Waste Department.

The successful applicant will operate a commercial roll-off and front load container truck, residential refuse truck, and a variety of landfill equipment. They will also load residential refuse into vehicles on assigned routes and assist in equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid Class 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
• Mechanical aptitude
• Physically capable of repetitive lifting

The City offers a 40-hour work week with an excellent and comprehensive benefits package. A Criminal Record Check and Drivers Abstract will be required as conditions of employment.
