The City of Steinbach’s Parks and Recreation Department has announced that the outdoor rink, located beside the T.G. Smith Centre at 321 Elmdale Street, is open for public skating and shinny hockey.
City officials say that changing weather conditions may require it to be temporarily closed at times during the daytime to maintain the ice surface quality.
City staff are also working to open the Steinbach’s other outdoor rink, located beside the Jake Epp Library. This rink is specifically for pleasure skating only as no sticks or pucks are allowed.
