Steinbach RCMP are reporting that a 51-year-old male suspect has been arrested and charged in connection to a recent sexual assault incident that occurred in Blumenort, Manitoba.
On October 14, 2022, a female attended the Steinbach RCMP detachment and reported that she was the victim of a sexual assault. She said the incident occurred during a massage by a male that she believed to be a registered massage therapist.
Police learned that the male, who was not a registered massage therapist, was providing services out of a basement in Blumenort. The female victim alleged that she was touched in an unwanted sexual way during an appointment.
RCMP report that 51-year-old Bernhard Unger has been charged with sexual assault in connection to this incident.
