Morris RCMP are currently investigating the death of a Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation man who was recently found deceased near the railroad tracks located in Dominion City.

On December 10, 2022, at approximately 9:55am, Morris RCMP responded to a report of a body discovered in Dominion City. RCMP and Emergency Medical Services responded to the call and subsequently, a 30-year-old male from Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police say that initial investigation indicates that the male victim was struck by a train sometime overnight.

RCMP, along with Canadian Pacific Railway, continue to investigate this incident.
