Manitoba Health advises that changes have been made to the Manitoba immunization card and verifier apps. People who previously downloaded the immunization card app will have Manitoba QR code access but that will be removed in a future update to the app. The updated app will continue to display pan-Canadian proof of vaccination credentials (PVC), and COVID-19 immunization information can continue to be updated. The Manitoba verifier app has been discontinued. Both apps have been removed from the Apple and Google Play stores. Additionally, physical Manitoba immunization cards are no longer being provided.

For some Manitobans, it may be approximately six months since a COVID-19 vaccination, and this has resulted in questions about the need for another booster dose. Individuals who have already received an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine as part of the fall booster program are generally not eligible for an additional dose at this time. The National Advisory Committee on Immunization is continuing to monitor evidence and evolving epidemiology and is expected to provide updated guidance in the coming months about additional doses of COVID-19 vaccine. Individuals with additional questions about immunization should speak with a health-care provider for advice.
