The Steinbach RCMP Detachment is holding a fundraiser BBQ on Thursday May 4, 2017, in order to raise funds for one of the local officer’s three and half year old daughter who has been recently diagnosed with Leukemia.
On April 6th, 2017, Maia was diagnosed with B-Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She is leveled at very high risk and will have to endure two years of aggressive chemotherapy and radiation.
Showing support for a very young girl dealing with cancer, the Detachment will be selling a hotdog, can of pop, bag of chips and cookie for $4 at a local fundraising BBQ. The event will be held on Thursday May 4, 2017 in the parking lot next to Earl’s Meats on Main Street from 11:30am to 1:30pm.
Steinbach RCMP are very grateful for a number of generous donations from some of Steinbach’s local business community. Any other donations would be greatly appreciated to help this family during these stressful times.
