Christian music artist Dan Bremnes along with former Winnipeg Blue Bomber Milt Stegall, have just been been confirmed for Steinbach’s Summer in the City Festival on Sunday June 18, 2017.

Summer in the City coordinators have announced that Milt Stegall, former Winnipeg Blue Bomber all-star receiver, will be guest speaker at the Sunday morning service at Worship in the City. Christian music artist and 2016 Juno award winner Dan Bremnes will be headlining the free evening concert.

Steinbach’s street festival was extended from two days to three full days of events this year thanks to Worship in the City growing from a morning service to a full day of festivities. “We’ve always talked about this potentially blossoming into a full day,” said Art Enns, co-chair for Worship in the City. “Last year when Ben Nickel approached us about turning this into a full day Christian concert we were excited about the possibilities.”

Plenty of talented musicians with a message of hope will fill the entire day at the Festival’s Main Stage. The morning service will feature worship led by Danny Plett and Project Worship, while the afternoon will abound with various local Christian artists. Dan Bremnes will wrap-up the festival in the evening.

Nickel and Enns both emphasized that they have had the privilege of witnessing incredible support from the community and from the local businesses who have sponsored this event. Because of such support, all Sunday’s concerts are available to attend at no charge – including Dan Bremnes. A freewill offering will be taken where 50 percent of the offering will go to non-profit charities within the City of Steinbach.
