Portage la Prairie RCMP are currently investigating a recent incident involving a vehicle colliding into a residence in the community.
On December 13, 2023, at approximately 6:30pm, RCMP received a report of a vehicle striking a house at the corner of Lorne Avenue and 2nd Street NW in Portage la Prairie.
Police believe that the vehicle was attempting to turn down the back lane on 2nd Street NW and missed the turn. The vehicle subsequently crossed the lawn of the residence, striking the house in the process.
RCMP report that the intersection was ice-covered and slippery at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported.
