Emerson RCMP are reporting that a 46-year-old Morden, Manitoba man had died as the result of a recent vehicle collision in the Rural Municipality of Montcalm, Manitoba.
On December 21, 2023, at 5:30pm, officers from the Emerson RCMP Detachment responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 14 and Provincial Road 426, in the RM of Montcalm.
Investigators determined that a vehicle traveling north on PR426 entered Highway 14 and struck a westbound vehicle.
RCMP report that the driver of the northbound vehicle, a 55-year-old male from St. Joseph, was not injured. The driver of the westbound vehicle, a 46-year-old male from Morden, was pronounced deceased on scene. Officers noted that the deceased was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the incident.
Emerson RCMP, along with an RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate this incident.
