As of 6am on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, spring road weight restrictions in Steinbach will no longer be in effect. Until then, spring weight restrictions are posted on all gravel and asphalt surfaced streets in order to avoid roadway damage during the spring thaw period.
The City notes that a load restriction of 65 percent of the normal legal axle load is posted on applicable Steinbach streets, as road conditions require.
The City of Steinbach’s Community Services Officer will be monitoring truck activity within Steinbach. The 65 percent of normal axle load rules will be applied, enforced and fines issued to violators accordingly.
