A 55-year-old male suspect has recently been arrested and charged after RCMP found him to be in possession of drugs, cash and firearms. The incident resulted from a traffic stop near Fork River, Manitoba.

A Winnipegosis RCMP officer, recently on patrol, conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Highway 20. During the stop, the officer observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle and subsequently arrested the male driver.

Police say that a search of the suspect and vehicle resulted in the seizure of over $5,000 in cash, 20 grams of cocaine, prescription medication, a firearm magazine, ammunition, several cellphones and other drug paraphernalia.

RCMP report that 55-year-old Lorne McKinnon has been charged with multiple offences in connection to this incident. Charges included possession for the purpose of trafficking and failing to comply. McKinnon was remanded into custody.
