The Manitoba government is closely monitoring fuel supply levels, distribution and pricing as the repair of the Imperial Oil pipeline continues. Currently, the fuel supply is considered stable.

Gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel continue to flow into Manitoba and retail fuel prices remain the lowest in Canada. The province continues to work closely with suppliers and stakeholders to track fuel distribution and supply chain developments.

Fuel terminal upgrades in Winnipeg are now complete and have increased rail to truck offloading capacity within the city of Winnipeg to improve distribution to local retailers.

Imperial Oil has advised the province the repair operation is on schedule and expected to be completed in June. Provincial inspectors will continue to visit the site to monitor for environmental impacts and will have an increased presence while the drilling phase of the pipeline repair is underway.

The Manitoba government is committed to ensuring Manitobans have uninterrupted access to fuel while the pipeline repairs are completed in safe and environmentally responsible manner.
