Stonewall RCMP are reporting that a 24-year-old Traverse Bay man has been arrested and charged in connection to a recent shooting incident that occurred in Teulon, Manitoba.
On July 13, 2025, at 10:40pm, Stonewall RCMP responded to a report of a shooting at a residence located on 7th Avenue SE in Teulon. Officers attended the scene and located a 37-year-old male with life-threatening injuries.
Police say that the victim was transported to hospital and later pronounced deceased. Officers noted that the death is being investigated as a homicide.
While on scene, an officer on patrol located a vehicle, believed to have been involved in the homicide. A traffic stop was attempted, but failed. A pursuit was then initiated which abruptly came to an end as the suspect vehicle had driven into a corn field.
The area was contained, and with the assistance of the RCMP Emergency Response Team, the lone occupant of the vehicle was arrested without incident. Members noted that a firearm was located and seized.
RCMP report that 24-year-old Donavin Skogan, from Traverse Bay, has been charged with 2nd degree murder, as well as numerous firearms and driving related offences.
