The Steinbach Chamber of Commerce Board and staff have announced that the 57th Annual Pioneer Days Parade will take place on Friday, August 1, 2025, starting at approximately 10am.
This year’s parade will feature over 115 entries, and will include eye-catching floats, local businesses, community organizations, marching bands, and more. The parade is an exciting testament to the enduring community support for this annual event. Officials noted that parade judges will be giving out prizes to entries in three categories, including Best Pioneer Spirit, Most Creative, and Most Engaging.
Construction Route Continued for 2025
The 2025 parade will see the same route as the previous year due to continued road construction, beginning at the Fire Hall on Main Street, heading west across the PTH 12 intersection, and continuing along Highway 52 until reaching North Front Drive. The RCMP will be on-site to manage traffic flow and will periodically pause the parade to allow vehicles through on PTH 12 heading south.
Due to this unique route adjustment, safety is more important than ever. Parents and spectators are reminded to keep children behind the barricade tape and to refrain from entering the parade route. Float participants will be asked to hand or toss candy directly to children at the edge – not onto the street.
Tin for the Bin: Support for Southeast Helping Hands
In true community spirit, spectators are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation for Southeast Helping Hands Food Bank. Volunteers will be collecting items along the parade route with shopping carts.
