Portage la Prairie RCMP are reporting that a 33-year-old Dakota Tipi First Nation has been arrested and charged in connection to a recent firearms complaint.
On August 15, 2025, at 11:20am, Portage la Prairie RCMP received a report that a male was walking around Dakota Tipi First Nation with a firearm and pointing it at motorists. Officers responded immediately and began patrols in the community.
Police say that a male suspect, matching the description of the suspect, was soon after located and arrested without incident.
RCMP report that 33-year-old Teren Pashe, from Dakota Tipi First Nation, has been remanded in custody on charges of pointing a firearm, using imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, and possession of weapon for dangerous purpose.
