The Steinbach Arts Council has announced the 2025 Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra Holiday Tour featuring special guests Erin Propp and Larry Roy. The performance is scheduled for 7:30pm on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Crossview Church in Steinbach.
This annual concert has become a community tradition, giving local audiences the opportunity to experience a full professional orchestra close to home. Audience members can look forward to hearing their favourite holiday music performed by the WSO, a dramatic performance of T’was the Night Before Christmas with special guest narrator Jim Harms, and a choral collaboration with the Eastman Male Choir, directed by Shannon Sawatzky. A festive audience sing-along will round out the program.
“Bringing the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra to Steinbach is an important part of what we do,” says Tara Schellenberg, Performing Arts Coordinator at the Steinbach Arts Council. “It allows our community to experience professional orchestral music right in our own back yard and connects our local music scene to the broader Manitoba arts community.”
Before the concert, guests can visit the local artist Gift Shop in the foyer, featuring handmade items from community artisans. “It’s a simple way to support local creators while finding meaningful gifts,” adds Schellenberg.
The Steinbach Arts Council thanks Three Way Builders for sponsoring this event and helping make live orchestral music accessible to the local community.
Tickets for the event are available for purchase at steinbacharts.ca or by calling 204-346-1077.
