Morris RCMP are currently investigating two arson incidents that recently occurred at the same commercial property located in the Rural Municipality (RM) of Morris.
On October 10, 2025, at 2:40am, Morris RCMP responded to a commercial alarm at a property located on Road 6W in the RM of Morris. The property owner indicated that someone had driven a front-end loader through the front door.
Police responded immediately to the scene and, upon entering the building, noted a strong odour of diesel fuel. Officers subsequently observed jerry cans filled with diesel fuel, sitting on pallets and loaded onto a forklift. Upon closer inspection of the area, it appeared that someone had tried to light the building on fire but was unsuccessful.
On November 7, 2025, at 2am, Morris RCMP once again responded to a commercial alarm at the same property. The owner confirmed with police that the building was on fire.
Police responded immediately and observed wood pallets completely engulfed in flames near the building. Members noted that the fire had been deliberate and damage to the property was extensive.
RCMP are asking that anyone who may have information in connection to these incidents, to please contact the Morris RCMP detachment at 204-746-2323 or CrimeStoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477. You can also submit a secure tip online at manitobacrimestoppers.com.
