RCMP Westman Traffic Services are reporting that a large quantity of drugs were recently seized during a traffic stop that occurred at a location on Highway 1, west of Brandon, Manitoba.
On December 6, 2025, at approximately 3:20pm, Westman Traffic Services initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that had failed to slow down and move over while passing an officer who was conducting a traffic stop on Highway 1.
Police say that a search of the vehicle produced a total of 3kg of crystal methamphetamine, 500g of crack cocaine, 500g of cocaine and a quantity of Canadian currency.
RCMP report that 28-year-old Meaghan Hermans, from Camrose, Alberta, along with 32-year-old Jonathon Anaquod, from Melville, Saskatchewan, were arrested as a result. The two individuals will be facing two charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
