Morris RCMP are reporting that a semi truck driver from Winnipeg has recently died resulting from a collision with another semi at a location near of St. Jean Baptiste, Manitoba.
On January 3, 2026, at 1pm, Morris RCMP were notified of a collision on Highway 75 in the RM of Montcalm. It was reported that the incident involved a semi-truck and a pedestrian.
Officers responded immediately to the call and discovered a victim laying in the median ditch with two semi trucks stopped in the southbound lane of Highway 75.
Police investigation determined that the driver of one of the semi trucks was struck by the other semi truck while on the highway.
RCMP report that the victim, a 57-year-old male from Winnipeg, was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the other semi-truck, a 33-year-old male from Winnipeg, was uninjured as a result of this incident.
Morris RCMP continue to investigate.
