Red River Mutual staff have chosen to once again “dress casual” for a cause and chose to support the Manitoba Camping Association and Sunshine Fund. A monetary donation bought each staff member the ability to wear jeans to work the day before a long weekend and the last Friday of every month.
On Wednesday August 10th, 2016, the Manitoba Camping Association and Sunshine Fund was presented a cheque for $3,360 which will help send children in Manitoba to camp! The funds raised will help the Manitoba Camping Association reach its 2016 goal of sending 1,000 kids to camp.
Kim Batchelor, Red River Mutual Social Committee member said, “Many of us remember attending summer camps as children and the meaningful memories we share to this day. We are delighted to have been able to be a part of this fundraiser and help the children in our communities.”
