The Bethesda Foundation announces the upcoming retirement of Linda Peters, Executive Director, after eight years of dedicated service advancing healthcare in the Steinbach region. Linda has played a pivotal role in strengthening community partnerships, leading major fundraising initiatives, and championing projects that have expanded and modernized healthcare services for a rapidly growing population.
“Serving the community through the Bethesda Foundation has been one of the greatest honours of my career,” said Peters. “Steinbach is a community that cares deeply about its people, and I am grateful to have worked alongside so many generous donors, partners, and healthcare leaders who share a vision for exceptional local care.”
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Alisa Harder has been appointed as the new Executive Director, effective May 1, 2026. Alisa has served with the Foundation for the past year as Executive Assistant. She lives in Steinbach with her husband and eight-year-old son. Outside of work, Alisa can often be found at the local rink, supporting her son’s hockey games or spending time with friends and family.
“Alisa has demonstrated exceptional skill, professionalism, and heart in her work with the Foundation,” said Board Chair Chris Goertzen. “Her understanding of our mission, combined with her commitment to community service, makes her the ideal leader to guide the Foundation into its next chapter.”
Alisa expressed gratitude for the opportunity to continue the Foundation’s work. “Bethesda Foundation makes a practical difference in the lives of Steinbach and area residents every day. We will all need healthcare services throughout our lifetime, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute in a greater way to that important work.”
The Bethesda Foundation extends its heartfelt appreciation to Linda for her years of service and leadership, and we look forward to continuing the Foundation’s mission with Alisa in her new role.
