The City of Steinbach has announced ongoing intermittent road closures and traffic management adjustments occurring on Stone Bridge Crossing from PTH 12 N to Albert Street, Maplewood Street from Loewen Boulevard to Stone Bridge Crossing, Cypress Place, Meadowood Place and the surrounding neighbourhood.
Officials say that the traffic changes are due to asphalt road overlay work being done. The work is expected to be completed in late July.
Currently, the intersection at Stone Bridge Crossing and PTH 12 N is open to local access only with intermittent closures, as required for work. Short-term closures of portions of these roadways and of accesses to Stone Bridge Crossing from Home Street and Albert Street are expected in the next few weeks.
Contractors are expected to provide residents with a notice 24 hours in advance if their driveway access will be affected by road closures.
The City thanks all residents in advance for their patience as this necessary road maintenance is completed, and for following signage and exercising caution when travelling in the area.
