With garage and yard sale season in full swing, the City of Steinbach is offering a friendly reminder to residents that, according to Traffic By-Law 2254, no person may place signage on a City street, boulevard, or any other public space.
Exceptions to this by-law include the following:
- it is to promote a candidate running in a government election during an active campaign period; or
- it is owned and installed by the City of Steinbach.
- permission is granted in writing by the City Manager Designate.
City employees may remove and dispose of any signage that does not comply with this by-law from any public space, and the cost of doing so may be charged to the applicable person or organization.
