Killarney RCMP are reporting that three male suspects have been arrested and charged in connection to a recent assault incident that occurred in the area.

On July 13, at approximately 11:20pm, Killarney RCMP received a report of an assault that occurred in the RM of Killarney-Turtle Mountain.

Members learned that a 19-year-old male victim was preparing to leave the community in a vehicle when he was attacked by multiple males who held him down, wrapped him in a blanket and duct-taped his ankles and hands. The suspects, three of whom were partially masked, proceeded to assault the victim with a stick, stealing his two cellphones and two small knives in the process. The victim was subsequently loaded into the back of an off-road vehicle and dropped off near a wooded area a distance away.

Police say that the victim was eventually able to free himself from the tape and make his way home, at which point RCMP were called.

RCMP report that four suspects, from the RM of Killarney-Turtle Mountain, have since been arrested in connection with the incident. The suspects ranging in age from 16 to 31, are now facing numerous criminal charges in connection to this incident.
