St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP are currently investigating a recent theft incident where two male suspects stole a quantity of electrical cable from a business located in Grunthal, Manitoba.

On July 28, 2026, at approximately 11am, St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP were notified of a theft that occurred at a Grunthal business located on Holme Road. Officers responded to the scene and met with an employee who advised them that the theft had occurred on Saturday, July 25 at approximately 2pm.

Investigation determined that two male suspects, one wearing an orange safety vest and the other wearing a blue safety vest, stole an estimated $40,000-$50,000 worth of electrical cable. The two individuals then left scene in a red pickup truck.

Police say that the two same suspects were believed to have been involved in an attempted theft later that same day. In this incident, the two males breached a lock at a cellphone tower near Highway 216 and Highway 59, but an employee was on site and the suspects fled the scene.
