Pembina Valley RCMP are reporting that a 35-year-old Plum Coulee man has died as the result of a recent two-vehicle collision that occurred in the Rural Municipality (RM) of Stanley.
On August 27, 2026, at approximately 11:30am, Pembina Valley RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision that occurred in the RM of Stanley. RCMP, local firefighters, and paramedics responded to the incident.
Police investigation determined that the collision occurred at an uncontrolled four-way gravel intersection at Road 17 North and Road 19 West where an eastbound truck with a flat bed trailer collided with a northbound truck carrying a garbage trailer. Subsequently, both vehicles went into the northeast ditch.
RCMP report that the driver of the truck with the flat-bed trailer, a 35-year-old Plum Coulee man, died at the scene. The other driver, a 42-year-old man from the RM of Stanley, was taken to hospital with what was believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
