A Morden woman, along with a Winkler man, are in hospital with serious injuries following a recent two-vehicle collision that occurred at the intersection of Highway 23 and Highway 3 in the Rural Municipality (RM) of Roland.

On August 28, 2026, at approximately 5:40pm, Pembina Valley RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision RM of Roland.

Police investigation determined that an eastbound SUV, crossing Highway 3, was hit by another SUV traveling south. The force of the collision subsequently caused the eastbound SUV to roll into the southeast ditch.

RCMP report that the driver of the eastbound vehicle, a 51-year-old female from Morden, was transported by STARS air ambulance to a hospital in Winnipeg. The passenger in the vehicle, a 44-year-old Winkler male, was taken to hospital in Winnipeg by ground ambulance. Both are in critical but stable condition.

Officers noted that the driver of the other SUV, a 55-year-old Texas male, was uninjured in this incident.
