Headingley RCMP are reporting that a 62-year-old Sanford man has recently died as the result of a vehicle collision that occurred in the Rural Municipality (RM) of Macdonald.
On September 22, 2026, shortly after 5am, Headingley RCMP responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck and SUV. The incident occurred at the intersection of Highway 3 and PR 334, in the RM of Macdonald.
Police investigation determined that the semi-truck had been traveling east on Highway 3 when it collided with a southbound SUV on PR 334.
RCMP report that the driver of the SUV, a 62-year-old male from Sanford, was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the semi-truck, a 58-year-old male from Morden, was treated for minor-non-life-threatening injuries.
Headingley RCMP, along with the Manitoba Traffic Services, continue to investigate this incident.
