The City of Steinbach has announced that finishing touches are now complete on new playground equipment and upgrades to Choate Park in Steinbach. The park is located off of Third Street between Lumber Avenue and Barkman Avenue.
The new equipment at the park includes a climbing structure, slide and balance beam. New swings have also been installed and a pea gravel surface complete the park. Final landscaping will take place as weather permits.
The City notes that the park upgrades are part of Steinbach’s playground renewal program. Each year, money is put aside and used to enhance neighbourhood parks. The upgrades to Choate Park cost approximately $25,000.
