Undefeated in three starts last week, goaltender Matthew Thiessen of the Steinbach Pistons has been named the Recycle Everywhere MJHL Player of the Week.

Thiessen, 18, was outstanding in the Pistons’ net, reflected in a .951 save percentage and sparkling GAA of 1.67 during the three wins. The Altona native currently sits first among MJHL goaltenders in GAA of 2.18. His overall record is 11-2 with one shutout.

The runners-up are 20-year-old goaltender Emilien Boily of the OCN Blizzard and 18-year-old forward James McIsaac of the Portage Terriers.
