The City of Steinbach’s Parks and Recreation Department has announced that the outdoor rink, located beside the T.G. Smith Centre at 321 Elmdale Street, is open for public skating and shinny hockey.
The City notes that changing weather conditions may require it to be temporarily closed during the day time to maintain the ice surface quality.
City staff will now begin work on Steinbach’s other outdoor rink located beside the Jake Epp Library. This rink is being setup specifically for pleasure skating only. There will be no sticks or pucks are allowed.
