For the second time this season, Steinbach Pistons’ captain Braden Purtill has been named the Recycle Everywhere MJHL Player of the Week award.

Purtill, 20, registered four points (2-2) in two games last week for the Pistons who sit first in the league standings with a 30-7-1 record. Meanwhile, the 6-foot, 190-pound Winnipegger currently sits second in the MJHL scoring race with 24 goals and 54 points in 37 games.

The runners-up are 19-year-old forward Nathan Halvorsen of the Selkirk Steelers and 18-year-old goaltender Matthew Radomsky of the Steinbach Pistons.
