During the evening hours of February 20, 2018, Lynn Lake RCMP issued a warrant for the arrest of 46-year-old John Gerald Glen Linklater of Black Sturgeon Falls First Nation, Manitoba, in relation to a recent animal abuse investigation.
RCMP report that Linklater is facing charges under the Criminal Code for causing unnecessary suffering as well as injury to animals.

RCMP report that John Linklater attended the RCMP detachment in Leaf Rapids, Manitoba and was arrested.
