A 46-year-old Winnipeg man was recently stabbed by a female suspect after volunteering her a ride from Winnipeg to Landmark, Manitoba.

On March 20, 2018, at approximately 10:05pm, St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP received a report of a man who was stabbed on Main Street in Landmark, Manitoba. When officers attended the scene, the victim had already been transported to hospital and the female suspect was lying on the side of the road.

Police investigation determined that the 30-year-old female suspect was intoxicated and asked for a ride from Winnipeg to Landmark. The 46-year-old male victim, from Winnipeg, was heading in that direction and agreed to provide the suspect with a ride. When they arrived in Landmark, the suspect stabbed the victim in the upper body. The suspect struggled with the victim and he was stabbed several more times in the process, receiving serious, but non-life threatening injuries. He was eventually able to remove the suspect from the vehicle.

RCMP report that the female suspect was taken to hospital where she was found to be uninjured. She was then taken to the RCMP Detachment and charged with aggravated assault. She remains in custody.
