A La Broquerie man is facing numerous charges after attempting to make purchases with a stolen credit card in the La Broquerie area.

On September 3, 2016, Steinbach RCMP were advised a male suspect was in possession of stolen credit cards attempting to make purchases in the La Broquerie area. On September 5, officers located and arrested one male suspect at the La Broquerie Shell gas station.

Police say that as a result of the arrest, a stolen credit card, open alcohol, tools and a loaded 12 gauge shot gun were seized.

RCMP report that 35-year-old Jacques Gagnon of the RM of La Broquerie, was arrested and remanded into custody and charged with possession of stolen property, misuse of a credit card, possession of a firearm while knowing possession is not authorized and two breaches of a court ordered recognizance.
