A 53-year-old RM of Rhineland man has died after losing control of his vehicle, causing it to roll at a location on Provincial Road 336 near Morris, Manitoba.

On August 31, 2018, at approximately 1:40pm, Morris RCMP responded to a single-vehicle rollover on Provincial Road 336, one kilometre north of Highway 23. Investigation determined that a pickup truck was traveling north on PR 336 when it appeared to have lost control on the gravel, going off the road and rolling several times.

Police say the 53-year-old male driver was deceased on scene and the 53-year-old female passenger was transported to hospital in stable condition. Both were from the RM of Rhineland.

RCMP report that seatbelts were in use at the time of the collision and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this collision.

An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
