The City of Steinbach is starting to look very festive as many trees around the community have been outfitted with LED Christmas lights.
City employees have recently put up approximately 36,000 LED lights on about 110 trees throughout the community. The lights will be shining every night until the New Year.
Christmas lights can be seen along Main Street, on trees on Reimer Avenue across from City Hall, as well as on trees by the water tower and KR Barkman Park gazebo. City Hall and the welcome sign at the south end of Steinbach are also lit up. The City notes that the trees on Reimer Avenue alone feature about 4,200 lights.
City staff has heard many wonderful compliments about the beauty of the lights and is pleased to be able to display them again this year.
