The Canada Post office located on Main Street in Steinbach was recently broken into resulting in an unknown amount of mail and parcels being stolen.

Police say that in one incident, between 6pm on December 3, 2018 and 5am on December 4, the Canada Post Office in Steinbach was entered by an unknown number of suspects who vandalized at least a dozen mailboxes. Several parcel compartments were also vandalized during the incident. Canada Post confirmed that 24 parcels (unknown content and value) were stolen as well as an unknown amount of mail.

In another incident, between 6pm on December 4, 2018 and 3am on December 5, 2018, Canada Post Office in Steinbach was once again the target of vandalism and theft. In this incident, several parcel compartments were vandalized and an unknown amount of mail and parcels were stolen. Canada Post has yet to confirm the extent of what was stolen.
