A 54-year-old Beausejour woman has recently died after the vehicle she was driving collided into another vehicle near Powerview – Pine Falls, Manitoba.

On January 4, 2019, at 4:47pm, Powerview RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Provincial Road 304, approximately seven kilometres south of Powerview – Pine Falls.

Police investigation shows that one of the vehicles was traveling north on Provincial Road 304, the other vehicle was traveling south. Officers believe that the two vehicles collided due to icy road conditions, and as a result, a 54-year-old Beausejour woman, who was the driver and lone occupant of the northbound vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

RCMP report that the southbound vehicle contained three occupants from Hollow Water First Nation. The 66-year-old male driver and a 31-year-old female passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries, while a 60-year-old female passenger was taken to hospital and is currently in critical condition.
