A 35-year-old Sherridon man is in stable condition after recently being struck by a vehicle on Highway 10 near Flin Flon, Manitoba.

On March 11, 2019, at 9:45pm, officers from the Flin Flon RCMP detachment received a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle at a location on Highway 10, approximately one kilometre south of the City of Flin Flon.

Investigation determined that a pickup truck, being driven by a 59-year-old male from Schist Lake, was traveling south on Highway 10 when it struck a 35-year-old Sherridon, Manitoba man who was lying on the highway.

Police say that the driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and then immediately flagged down another motorist for assistance in contacting 911.

RCMP report that the 35-year-old victim was transported to hospital in critical condition and later flown to Winnipeg where he has since been upgraded to stable condition.

Flin Flon RCMP, along with an RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate the incident.
